Korsimoro:The High Court of Kaya conducted mobile hearings and awareness sessions in Korsimoro from October 12 to 15, 2026, focusing on legal issues such as human trafficking, female genital mutilation, and allegations of witchcraft. These sessions were part of an initiative to bring justice closer to the people.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the prosecutor of Faso at the High Court of Kaya, Thodore Banc, highlighted that the hearings served an "instructive and educational" purpose, helping the public better understand the workings of the justice system.
In addition to the hearings, the judicial mission organized sessions to educate litigants and customary authorities on Faso Burkaor, a traditional dispute resolution mechanism. The Tansob-Kiema of the kingdom of Boussouma praised the initiative, noting that Faso Burkaor aligns with traditional values and promotes communal harmony.
The mission also facilitated the issuance of important legal documents, such as Burkinabe nationality certificates, criminal records, and corrected birth certificates, making judicial services more accessible to the locals. Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the initiative, which they believe significantly improves access to justice.
