Ouahigouya: In the month of Muslim fasting, the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina (FAIB), Northern section, organized a collective breaking of fast with other religious faiths on Thursday April 4, 2024 in Ouahigouya.Strengthening social ties between religious faiths and imploring God for the return of peace to Burkina, this is the whole meaning of the collective breaking of the fast organized by the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina (FAIB), Northern section, on April 4, 2024 in Ouahigouya. Imams, priests, church pastors and regional authorities communed around a common dish and prayed together for the return of peace to Burkina Faso.For the president of the FAIB, Northern section, Sidi Moctar Maiga, this collective break in this blessed month of Ramadan aims to strengthen social ties between different religions.'You saw, there were with us our Catholic brothers, Protestants and traditional leaders. Together, we implored God the Almighty for peace to return to the land of the upri ght. And that it protects the authorities of the Transition as well as the fighting forces in missions to reconquer the territory.'An initiative positively appreciated by the governor of the region, Issouf Ouédraogo. 'The initiative is beneficial. When leaders of different religions come together, especially during this period of fasting to ask God to assist them, we, as an authority, can only be happy.
