Ouagadougou: The Agricultural Resilience and Competitiveness Project (PReCA) delivered checks worth more than 500 million FCFA to IDPs resettled in the South-West on July 4, 2024, in Gaoua agricultural activities, AIB learned from the project communication unit.The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources continues to implement the actions decided by the Transition Government, in favor of the economic reintegration of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) resettled in the South-West region.It is in this context that the Agricultural Resilience and Competitiveness Project (PReCA) delivered on Thursday July 4, 2024 to Gaoua, checks with a total value of 534 million 931 thousand 468 FCFA to 524 resettled IDPs to develop microprojects in the agricultural sector.The PReCA Coordinator, Adama Siri invited the beneficiaries to properly implement micro-projects which will benefit the entire Burkinabè Nation.Note that the financing of microprojects for the benefit of resettled IDPs covers eight out of thirteen regions. It aims to revive the economy in the reconquered areas and to contribute to the dynamic of reconquest of the national territory initiated by the first authorities of Burkina.The Gaoua ceremony, under the theme 'Reconquest of the national territory and strengthening the resilience of IDPs through the financing of micro-projects for their benefit', was attended by the Minister of Defense, General Kassoum Coulibaly, the Minister of Agriculture, Commander Ismaël Sombié, Minister Delegate for Animal Resources Amadou Dicko and other personalities.The population of the South-West took the opportunity to submit a payment receipt to the Public Treasury in the amount of more than one million FCFA to Minister Coulibaly for his contribution to the peace effort.Source: Burkina Information Agency
