Burkina: The issuance of duplicates and association file funds will now be invoiced

Ouagadougou: The government adopted on Wednesday a decree to charge for the issuance of duplicates of official recognition documents of associations as well as the issuance of their copies of background files and/or other statistical information.According to the minutes of the Council of Ministers, certain services provided by the Ministry responsible for public freedoms, in particular the issuing of duplicates of official recognition documents for associations as well as the issuing of their copies of background files and/or other statistical information, will now be chargeable.The same source indicates that the adoption of this decree allows the collection of revenue relating to certain services of the ministry in charge of public freedoms with a view to contributing to the increase in service revenue for the benefit of the State budget.The same source specifies that in addition to these services, there are fines for failure to keep regular records and for failure to declare renewal within the legal d eadline.This decree is a rereading of the code authorizing the collection of revenue relating to certain services provided by said ministry with a view to broadening the revenue base by taking into account newly identified services.Source: Burkina Information Agency
