The Malian President, Colonel Assimi Goïta, expressed his deep compassion and full solidarity in Burkina Faso, following the attack in Barsalogho which cost the lives of several people on Saturday.'On behalf of the Government, the Malian people and on my own behalf, I express my deep compassion and my full solidarity to His Excellency Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, President of Faso, Head of State, and my sincere condolences to the Government and the Brother people of Burkina Faso, severely affected by these appalling massacres of hordes of terrorists in the service of foreign sponsors,' the Malian head of state wrote in a press release on Tuesday.On Saturday in Barsalgho in north-central Burkina, terrorists fired indiscriminately on civilians and soldiers gathered for community work, killing several of them and injuring many.Colonel Assimi Goïta wished a speedy recovery to the injured and implored divine mercy for the eternal rest of the souls of the missing.'Despite the harsh trials of the moment, nothing will be able to undermine our firm will and our determination to continue the common fight initiated within the framework of the Confederation of Sahel States against terrorism and insecurity in all its forms and to transform our space AES into a zone of peace, stability, integrated development and shared prosperity in favor of our valiant People,' concluded President Goïta.Source: Burkina Information Agency
