The Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, urged employers on Thursday in Ouagadougou to work to promote small and medium-sized enterprises and ensure that large companies become multinationals, said the President of the National Council of Burkinabe Employers, Idrissa Nassa."He (the President of Faso) wanted us to work to promote small and medium-sized enterprises, and ensure that large companies become multinationals so that we can work together to develop our countries," declared Idrissa Nassa, president of the National Council of Burkinabe Employers.The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, granted an audience on Thursday to a delegation of Burkinabe employers, accompanied by representatives of friendly employers in the sub-region and Burkinabe businessmen from the diaspora in Côte d'Ivoire and the United States of America, indicate the communication services of the presidency of Faso.Present in Ouagadougou to participate in the general assembly of the Burkinabe private sector, the delegation is composed of representatives of employers from Mali, Niger, Benin, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Togo, New York (United States) and businessmen from Burkina Faso.In Mr. Nassa's opinion, the President of Faso also hoped that employers would become more involved in supporting business leaders to make the Burkinabe private sector a real force for proposals and a key player in economic and social development.The general assembly of the Burkinabe private sector, organized by the National Council of Burkinabe Employers (CNPB), will be held from September 5 to 7, 2024 in Ouagadougou, under the theme: 'What contribution does the private sector make to the economic and social development of Burkina Faso: current status, challenges and perspectives'.This event coincides this year with the 50th anniversary of the patronat.Source: Burkina Information Agency
