Burkina: The governor of the Center-South region, Yvette Nacoulma, has called upon the region's vital forces to honor the memory of martyrs, emphasizing that their sacrifices must not be in vain.According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor made this appeal during a tribute paid by the Centre-South region to the martyrs of October 30 and 31, 2014, the dates marking the popular insurrection against former president Blaise Compaoré's regime. The tribute included a national synchronized minute of silence at 10:00 a.m. in memory of the victims.Governor Nacoulma highlighted the importance of remembering that the fight of those who made the ultimate sacrifice was for the nation's general interest. She urged all citizens, especially those in the Centre-South, to maintain the spirit of unity and continue working towards the common cause.She further linked this vision to that of the current President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, emphasizing that the ongoing dynamic aims at achieving "our total sovere ignty and the complete liberation of our territory." Governor Nacoulma stressed the importance of perseverance in this endeavor and encouraged the active forces and constituted bodies to convey this message sincerely to their colleagues and partners, both nationally and internationally.
