Tapoa: Secretary-General Calls for Order and Discipline

Tapoa: The Secretary General of the province of Tapoa called on Wednesday in Diapaga for order and discipline, on the occasion of the launch of the 2nd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial administrative authorities celebrated the traditional raising of the flags on Wednesday, March 25, 2025. The Diapaga prefecture provided the venue for the ceremony, which is part of the activities of the second edition of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation in this part of Burkina Faso.

The ceremony, which brought together administrative, military, paramilitary, customary and religious authorities of the city, included the taking of arms, the raising of the colours, the national anthem and the message from the President of Faso, the content of which was delivered by the Secretary General (SG) of the province of Tapoa, Martin Zoundi.

For the provincial secretary general, the raising of the national flag is a reminder of the importance of national values and the citizens' attachment to their nation. He continued that the flag is an expression of our country's existence and the sovereignty of the people. It embodies our dignity.

Recalling the theme for this second edition, namely: "for order and discipline: I commit myself", he invited the population to stop and take stock of the level of commitment in terms of order and discipline, because the revolution only takes place effectively in order and discipline.

These are values, he continued, that underpin the strength and robustness of a country that aspires to development based on its own resources. He called on the population to radically change their mentality and to abandon attitudes that do not honor Burkina Faso.

"These behaviors must be changed in our administrations, our workplaces, our neighborhoods and our villages," insisted the SG, adding that "the nations that stand today as models in our eyes, have built themselves, consolidated their economies and earned their reputations in order and discipline."

"For a sovereign people to begin working for itself, it must first become aware of the conduct to be adopted by all of its components and equip itself with a will to fundamentally change its behavior," explains the SG of the province.

Scheduled to last from March 26 to April 9, sanitation activities in public places, as well as civil and military activities, will fill the rest of these days in Tapoa.
