Sabc©: Sixty young men from the commune of Sabc© received installation kits and training certificates on Tuesday in Sabc© at the end of a certification program funded by the mining company Bissa Gold, aimed at promoting job creation for communities impacted by the mine.
According to Burkina Information Agency, each kit consists of a wheelbarrow, a bowl, two wooden planks, a tape measure, a plumb line, and ten clamps. This equipment complements the basic individual tools provided to each learner at the beginning of the training. Bissa Gold's community relations representative, Rasman© Ou©draogo, emphasized the company's strategy to train young people in various activities, acknowledging that the mine cannot employ everyone. To support employment, they have developed certified training courses and provided equipment to facilitate immediate employment opportunities.
The first vice-president of the Sabc© special delegation, Fran§ois Xavier Sawadogo, expressed his approval of this initiative, which aligns with the municipality's needs. He encouraged the beneficiaries to train other young people within their communities, thereby extending the impact of the program.
The training was conducted by the Continuum Mining and BTP Training Center (CMTC). Its general manager, Am©d©e Sawadogo, praised the trainees for their seriousness and competency in masonry. He confirmed that the mission to train, certify, and equip them was successful, and the necessary knowledge has been imparted to qualify them for practice. The provision of installation equipment marked the culmination of their training journey.
Mahamadi Sawadogo, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Bissa Gold and the CMTC for imparting valuable skills. He promised, on behalf of his fellow trainees, to meet expectations and embrace the challenge of self-employment.
The trainees, hailing from Sabc© and surrounding villages such as Koukoundi, Rounou, Imiougou, Wazel©, Gougla, and Zandkoom, completed a three-month work-study program in Sabc©.
