Ouagadougou: The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Pingdwend© Gilbert OUEDRAOGO, chaired the 1st session of the Board of Directors of the Ministerial Sector (CASEM) for the year 2025 of the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism (MCCAT) in Ouagadougou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session was held under the theme: "Execution of budgetary programs in a context of austerity: what balance between reorganization of budgetary appropriations and stabilization of the performance framework." This session provided an opportunity for council members to review the activities from the previous year and evaluate budgetary decisions made in a collective spirit of responsibility.
Minister Pingdwend© Gilbert OUEDRAOGO highlighted the budgetary constraints faced in 2024, emphasizing the need to adapt and optimize resources. He stressed the importance of finding a balance between reallocating available appropriations and maintaining stability in program execution to guarantee tangible and sustainable results.
The minister emphasized that while reorganizing budgetary allocations is necessary, it should not compromise development objectives in communication, culture, arts, and tourism. He urged for informed decisions to ensure every action positively impacts the people and enhances the country's international image.
