Ouagadougou: The government, through the message of the Minister in charge of Labor and Social Protection on the occasion of Labor Day, congratulated public service workers for their resilience in areas facing significant security challenges. "I would like to salute the resilience of the workers committed to working alongside the population to ensure public service in areas with significant security challenges," declared the Minister of Labor, Mathias Traor©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, despite the current context in Burkina Faso, agents continue to provide public service for the well-being of populations in hard-to-reach areas. Minister Traor© also praised the bravery of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), who are committed to the complete reconquest of the territory.
"This is the place for me to salute the sacrifice of the Defense and Security Forces as well as that of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), who work day and night to guarantee the security of the population," he said. The head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection acknowledged that the actions of the FDS and VDP enabled the reconquest of several localities and encouraged the gradual return of the administration and the population.
Burkina Faso continues to face security and humanitarian challenges, the minister said, while reassuring that the government is determined to defeat the terrorist hydra thanks to the support of the population and patriotic contributions. The minister was speaking in his message for International Workers' Day, commemorated on May 1st each year.
