Burkina’s Minister Traoré Outlines Government Initiatives to Support Citizens

Ouagadougou: The Minister in charge of Civil Service, Mathias Traoré, addressed the nation on Labor Day, highlighting a series of government initiatives designed to improve the lives of the Burkinabe population. In his message, Traoré emphasized the government's commitment to economic stability and food sovereignty through a variety of measures.According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Traoré detailed the government's approach, which includes rationalizing expenditures and implementing institutional reforms. These efforts are complemented by the creation of businesses and a significant agro-forestry-pastoral and fishing initiative. These combined actions aim to secure food sovereignty and alleviate hardships for the working population.The Burkinabe government is pursuing various strategies to foster sustainable growth, Traoré noted. These strategies include revitalizing public enterprises and establishing community businesses to ensure economic stability. To combat the rising cost of living, the g overnment has intensified efforts to control the prices of essential goods. Traoré highlighted the role of the National Security Stock Management Company (SONAGESS) in conducting social price sales, which have provided relief to many citizens.Traoré also mentioned the establishment of Faso Yaar, a government initiative to enhance the distribution of consumer products across the country. Looking towards the future, the government plans to implement health insurance benefits by 2025 as part of its commitment to improving workers' living conditions.
