Tuy: Omar Traor©, the mission officer at the Presidency of Faso for the Hauts-Bassins region, organized a discussion session with students from Tuy province on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Hound©, focusing on the progressive and popular revolution underway in Burkina Faso. Lieutenant Colonel Lassan© Porgo, commander of the 2nd Military Region, led the conference before a large school audience, explaining the vision of the Burkinabe authorities centered around national sovereignty, unity, social justice, discipline, and resistance to imperialism.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Porgo emphasized the importance of youth engagement in this revolutionary dynamic, urging vigilance against misinformation. He stressed that each student must contribute towards a sovereign, united, and prosperous Burkina Faso. The students actively participated in the discussions, posing questions and voicing their concerns. They were also informed about presidential initiatives in agriculture, health, education, and transportation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Omar Traor© expressed satisfaction with the quality of the discussions and the attentiveness of the young audience. He hopes these students will serve as advocates, raising awareness among their peers. Following the discussions, students Abdoul Dao from Le Flambeau high school and Nadine Ou©draogo from the Tuy provincial high school pledged to uphold the values of the Burkinabe revolution within their generation.
