Bale: The Djadougobon Youth Association (AJD) of Ouri organized the final of the 8th edition of its Maracana tournament on Saturday, September 21, 2025, at the grounds of school A. The Acho 1er team was crowned champion of this edition, in a final that attracted many spectators.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this annual competition has been held in September since 2018. For this edition, the neighborhood's youth were grouped into six teams across two groups. After the preliminary rounds, the Racine and Acho 1er teams faced off in the final.
After 90 minutes of play, the score remained nil-nil despite the atmosphere of the supporters. It was the penalty shootout that separated the two teams, with Acho 1er securing victory with 04 goals against 03 for their opponent.
Acho 1er coach Salif Ganou remarked that the victory is for all the teams as it symbolizes the village's success in uniting its people.
According to the organizers, the competition fulfilled its promise by demonstrating its ability to bring young people together and strengthen unity in the village. For Seydou Bani, president of the organizing committee, the sporting activity aims to reinforce brotherhood and solidarity among young people, with public support being the main reason for satisfaction.
The final featured a demonstration phase from the Ouri kung fu wushu club, led by master Toron Dayo, at half-time.
