Adama Jean Yves Ber© Takes Over as Interim Governor in Koudougou

Koudougou: Adama Jean Yves Ber© has been appointed as the interim governor of the Center-West region, taking over from Boubacar Nouhoun Traor©, who has retired after a long career in public service.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the transition marks a significant change in the Center-West region's leadership. Boubacar Nouhoun Traor© stepped down after nearly 35 years of service to the nation, which included two and a half years as the governor of the region. In a formal handover ceremony, Traor© handed over responsibilities to the region's Secretary General, Adama Jean Yves Ber©, who will serve as the interim governor.

The ceremony was attended by various constituted bodies, who acknowledged Traor©'s contributions through their spokesperson, Pascal Bako. Bako highlighted many initiatives Traor© had implemented to address the needs of both rural and urban populations. Traor©'s efforts over his 30-month tenure as governor were recognized with numerous commemorative gifts during the event.

In his farewell speech, Traor© expressed joy and pride in fulfilling his duties and extended his gratitude to the country's highest authorities, including the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, for the opportunity to lead the region.

Adama Jean Yves Ber©, the newly appointed acting governor, expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him. He urged the constituted bodies to continue their support to help him manage the region's affairs effectively.
