Ouagadougou:The province of Sangui recently celebrated Adjaratou Bama, the 2026 Hakili Mousso laureate in mathematics, who was the only winner from a public high school. She was welcomed with great enthusiasm in Ro alongside her supervising teacher, Armand Bationo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the pair was greeted by education stakeholders upon their arrival at Ro's entrance and then accompanied by a procession to the provincial capital. High Commissioner Talari Germaine Ouoba congratulated them, highlighting the importance of their success in the national competition aimed at identifying female scientific talents.

Authorities praised the duo's hard work and expressed their delight in the accomplishment, with the High Commissioner noting, "Our beautiful province has received the award for best primary school teacher, and now this distinction is added to that."

The celebrations included a visit to the Provincial Directorate of Technical Education and Vocational Training, where director Rasmata Grace Guingan lauded their achievement, emphasizing the potential of local talents with proper support and guidance.

Armand Bationo received a letter of congratulations for his educational contributions, and Adjaratou Bama was awarded a roll of honor. With an average score of 14.25/20, Bama's performance at the competition in Ouagadougou earned her numerous accolades. Her principal, Bapio Bazi, commended her courage, dedication, and discipline.

Now set to continue her education, Adjaratou Bama has been accepted to the Technological Academy of Faso to study nuclear engineering.
