Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, received the ministers responsible for culture from the member countries of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES) this Monday morning.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation, led by Mamou DAFFE, the Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hotel Industry, and Tourism of the Republic of Mali, submitted the draft anthem of the AES, titled "La Confederale," to Captain Ibrahim TRAORE. Minister DAFFE described the anthem as a poetic musical work that encapsulates the founding values, shared souls, and collective ambitions of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. The anthem is aimed at being an identity landmark and a motivational tool for both current and future generations.
The spokesperson for the ministerial delegation stated that "The Confederation" is intended to complete the AES's identity system, which already includes a flag and logo. The development of the anthem involved several phases, including proposal gathering, expert synthesis, and validation by the culture ministers of the member countries. The draft was then presented to President GOTA, President of the Confederation of Sahel States, who initiated this mission to President TRAORE.
The Malian Minister of Culture also revealed that the forthcoming steps involve the anthem's official launch across the three countries, its adoption by marching bands, and its integration into school curricula.
