Boyomo revealed that the Mogho-Naba had blessed the project and accepted the ambassadorial role, with plans for a formal presentation at the launch.Boyomo also discussed the potential for relocating the national 7-a-side football federation's headquarters to Ouagadougou, highlighting Burkina Faso's warm reception of the initiative and the advantage of having the competitions director be Burkinabe. The International Football Association 7 (IFA7), based in Canada, governs 7-a-side football globally, with AFC7 operating in Africa. Boyomo explained that while AFC7 operates separately from the Con federation of African Football (CAF), there is a formalized agreement for coexistence, ensuring complementary efforts in promoting football on the continent.7-a-side football differs significantly from traditional 11-a-side football, with variations in the number of players, field size, and game pace. Boyomo described the sport as more physical, intense, and fast-paced, with unlimited substitutions to accommodate its demanding nature.
