Ouagadougou, After the failure of his attempt to take power last January in the Central African Republic, former President François Bozizé is currently a refugee in Ndjamena, Chadian authorities told RFI on Saturday.
According to RFI information, François Bozizé lives in Ndjamena in a villa.
He is accompanied by some elements of his close guard, specifies a member of his entourage.
He left the south of Chad for the capital at the end of June, the beginning of July according to the same source.
He would wait there, according to him, for the progress of the mediation process initiated by Angola and the International Conference for the Great Lakes region.
Ndjamena specifies that the authorities in Bangui have been informed of this process.
Because if the former president is currently in Chad, it is at the request of Angola, specifies the Chadian government.
And this just like other rebel leaders of the CPC armed coalition.
Some are in the south of the country in Moundou, others in Ndjamena.
This is the case, for example, of Maxime Mokom, one of the anti-balaka leaders, Al-Khatim at the head of the MPC or General Bobo of the 3Rs.
The CPC, coordinated by François Bozizé, attempted to overthrow the Central African authorities on January 13.
Proceedings were opened by the Bangui prosecutor’s office on January 4, in particular for endangering state security.
President François Bozizé led the Central African Republic for ten years between 2003 and 2013. He came to power by arms and was also ousted by arms.
