Zondoma: The agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the Ziro province organized a sanitation day in Sapouy at several public sites, including the royal court, the High Commission, the provincial Directorate of the Environment, and the Police services.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this cleaning and sanitation operation aims to contribute to improving the living environment, strengthen social cohesion, and raise awareness among the population about the importance of hygiene.

Victor Nbi, the province's endogenous development focal point, stated that the initiative aims to "cultivate social cohesion" and raise awareness among the population about the need to maintain a clean environment.

Poumoin Blaise Nama, representing the agricultural VDP, emphasized that through this action, they hope to "preach by example," demonstrating that every citizen can contribute to the improvement of their living environment.

Beyond the environmental aspect, this operation is expected to help reduce the risks associated with mosquito proliferation and, consequently, contribute to the fight against malaria.

As a reminder, the province of Ziro has nearly 300 agricultural VDPs, which operate more than 100 hectares devoted to various agricultural activities.
