Ouagadougou: The Director of the Promotion of Popular Shareholding for Community Entrepreneurship (APEC), Comrade Clmence Miningou/Zoundi, representing the Director General, paid a visit this Thursday to the Burkinabe Tomato Company (SOBTO) in Bobo-Dioulasso to ensure the operation of this industrial unit.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the director expressed her satisfaction with the factory's operational status. She confirmed that the facilities are fully operational, and the available stocks are sufficient to supply all regions of Burkina Faso. "We are at SOBTO this morning and the factory is operational. After the visit, we confirmed that the factory is functioning properly. There is a considerable stock capable of supplying all regions. We want to joyfully convey this message to the subscribers and all Burkinabe, telling them that it is thanks to their money, but above all to their unity, that this company has come into being. The Comrade President of Faso has already shown us the way by telling us to rely on ourselves," she declared.
The Director General of SOBTO, Comrade Adama Kabor, welcomed the visit, considering it a testament to the interest shown in the community enterprise. "The director came to ensure that the factory is operating at full capacity and properly. We toured the factory, and she was able to see that the workers are hard at work. Everyone is working tirelessly, day and night, to ensure production," he stated.
For Abdoulaye Kabor, the regional delegate of SCOOP-CA/APEC in Guiriko, this visit helped to dispel doubts about the factory's true situation. "We saw firsthand the realities of the factory. When you're outside, you're told the factory has a problem and isn't working. Today, we saw that it is indeed operating and that stocks are available," he stated.
This visit by the APEC promotion management aimed to observe firsthand the operation of SOBTO and to reassure subscribers and the public about the smooth running of this community enterprise.
