Ouagadougou: A mission from the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC), led by its Director General, Karim Traor, visited Djibo on Monday, August 3, 2026. The delegation met with administrative and municipal authorities, new regional delegates, subscribers, and local managers to present the Agency's missions, review subscriptions in the province, and discuss the prospects for community entrepreneurship.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting was held at the high commission of the province of Soum following the general assembly of APEC subscribers organized on the same day. It brought together the high commissioner, municipal authorities, the provincial coordinator of APEC, new regional delegates, local administrative officials, and representatives of the subscribers.

During the discussions, the Director General congratulated the regional delegates on their appointments and reminded them of their responsibilities in promoting community entrepreneurship. He also presented a summary of subscriptions recorded in the province and the Agency's development prospects.

The Director General invited delegates and subscribers to intensify information and awareness-raising activities among the population to promote greater membership in APEC and contribute to achieving its objectives. On this occasion, the High Commissioner of the Soum province, Wend N¨r¨ Wilfried Tougma, advocated for organizing information sessions in the communes of Arbinda and Kelbo, in collaboration with the regional delegates.

In response to this request, the APEC management expressed its interest in the proposal and committed to examining its feasibility with the aim of strengthening local communication throughout the province.
