The proceedings were officially opened by Saba Zorom©, the High Commissioner of Ziro Province, who praised APMR's diverse initiatives supporting vulnerable groups. He highlighted the importance of local development and social cohesion, particularly in a resilient Burkina Faso facing various challenges. Zorom© emphasized that efforts toward community development, especially for women, youth, and vulnerable populations, are of strategic importance.

Executive Director Ms. Bonkoungou/Bougma Aminata presented the 2025 activity report, revealing an achievement rate exceeding 98%, indicative of APMR's professionalism despite challenging contexts. Since its inception in 2004, APMR has aimed to improve rural living conditions sustainably. With over 7,200 members, the association operates in 21 municipalities across six regions: Nando, Guiriko, Kuils©, Nakamb©, Nazinon, and Tannounyan. Its initiatives cover health and reproduction, education and vocational training, agriculture, environment, and socio-economic empowerment.

APMR also extends support to internally displaced persons and host families, fostering social resilience amid security challenges. Looking to the future, the association plans to establish a health center and a vocational training center. The 2026 action plan, adopted unanimously, includes around 796 activities, up from 728 in 2025, showcasing a strengthened commitment to rural communities.

In closing, the High Commissioner of Ziro thanked participants from various regions, urged partners to enhance their support for APMR, and affirmed the administration's continued support for the association before concluding the 22nd Ordinary General Assembly.
