Apostolic Nuncio Julien Kaboré expresses his gratitude to the President of Faso

The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré received in audience the Apostolic Nuncio of Ghana Julien Kaboré this Thursday. The prelate came to express his gratitude to the Head of State for the solidarity shown towards him during his episcopal ordination in Rome on September 14."On the occasion of my episcopal ordination, I was well surrounded not only by friends from all walks of life, but particularly by Burkinabe brothers and sisters and an official delegation from Burkina Faso. I was very touched and I am grateful. It is my duty to come and thank the Burkinabe people through the person of the President of Faso for this gesture of solidarity and encouragement," he declared at the end of the meeting with the Head of State.Bishop Julien Kaboré, inspired by the message of Pope Francis the day after the terrorist attack in Barsalogho, said he hoped that peace would return to our country. "On the occasion of my ordination, at the end of the celebration, I repeated the message of the Holy Father, a message of encouragement, compassion, and solidarity for the Burkinabe people. He hoped that peace would return to Burkina, reconciliation, and harmony. I believe that despite all these current difficulties, my hope and my conviction is that Burkina will find peace again," said the Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana.For the return of peace in Burkina Faso, Bishop Kaboré recalled that the Catholic Church is already leading important initiatives and building bridges with other religions to strengthen social cohesion and living together.As a reminder, Bishop Julien Kaboré was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana by the Pope on June 29, 2024.Source: Burkina Information Agency
