The 2024 African Development Prize (PADEV), in the architecture category, was awarded last week in Kigali, Rwanda, to Burkinabe architect Joseph Kologo.Burkina Faso shone at the 19th edition of the African Development Prize through the boss of Cauris, Joseph Kologo, who won a trophy in Kigali in the category of best African architect.The jury praised his achievements, which are marked by aesthetics, ecology and sustainable development.The PADEV organizers also praised him for his ability to shape his clients' dreams, always making it a point of honor to imagine practical and harmonious solutions for collective well-being.A graduate of the African School of Architecture and Urban Planning (EAMAU) in Lomé, Togo, Joseph Kologo also studied at the Inter-State School of Architecture and Urban Planning (DEIAU), where he specialized in architecture and urban planning.In terms of works produced, Mr. Kologo is the author of the monument for the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of Burkina Faso in Bob o-Dioulasso, a site that has become a place of inspiration and gathering for many generations.He is also the designer of the youth monument located in the Tampouy district of Ouagadougou.Joseph Kologo also created masterpieces for the Notre-Dame de Yagma Sanctuary and for the National School of Animal Health.Source: Burkina Information Agency
