ARCOD President Explores Historical Kremlin Amid Sputnik’s Expansion Plans

Moscow:The president of the Authority for the Regulation of Communication and the Processing of Personal Data (ARCOD), Louis Modeste Ouedraogo, recently visited the Kremlin's historical sites in Moscow. His visit occurred at the invitation of the Russian news agency Sputnik, as observed by AIB on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Sputnik is interested in extending its activities within the Confederation of Sahel States (AES). The agency invited Ouedraogo to its Moscow headquarters to explore potential collaborations with Burkinabe press and journalists.

Ouedraogo emphasized the importance of this collaboration in the context of the ongoing information war affecting the AES, highlighting the need to counter voices that undermine the Confederation's potential success. Sputnik's interest is seen as support for the AES's efforts.

The visit coincided with the third Russia-Africa summit, where the Burkinabe delegation is expected to engage in discussions with Russian partners. During his tour, Ouedraogo visited notable sites such as Cathedral Square, the Tsar-Pushka, the Patriarch's Palace, the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, and Red Square, which includes Lenin's mausoleum.

Ouedraogo expressed his amazement, stating that while he had some knowledge of the Kremlin's history, experiencing it firsthand offered a deeper appreciation of Russian cultural traditions.
