Torla: Former Burkinabe international Aristide Bance has launched a football tournament named "72h Okunaso" in his paternal village, Torla, located in the commune of Garango, Boulgou province. The tournament, which gathers several teams from the locality, kicked off on Saturday.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the 72 Hours of Okunaso began on Friday, August 29th, with the official launch. The competition is in full swing, with the final set to be played this Sunday. The group matches in the direct elimination rounds are being hosted by three villages surrounding Torla.
The first day's matches concluded with the teams from Torla, Lionceaux, Dema, and Fingla securing their spots in the semi-finals. Aristide Bance, the former Etalons striker, is expected to attend both the semi-final matches and the grand final, which is scheduled to take place on August 31, 2025, in Ouaregou, within the commune of Garango, starting at 3:30 p.m.
The tournament also served as an occasion for the Regional Football League to officially launch its activities, an event chaired by Aboudou Karim Lamizana, the governor of the Nakambe region.
