Ouagadougou: The artisans of the Ouagadougou Artisanal Village (VAO) made a significant contribution to the presidential initiative 'Faso Meb´' on Friday, by donating two tons of cement and 30 packets of mineral water, thus demonstrating their active commitment to the reconstruction of the country.
According to Burkina Information Agency, beyond this donation, the artisans also mobilized to participate in the production of paving stones for community projects. This involvement was hailed as a concrete act of patriotism by the president of their association, Moumouni Savadogo. "We will return, every month if necessary. It is our duty," he declared, affirming the artisans' desire to work alongside the authorities over the long term.
Founded in 2000, the VAO now brings together some 500 artisans across 25 trades. A center for artistic production and outreach, it now positions itself as a committed player in the cause of peace, solidarity, and development.
