Mane: Artist Privat kicked off his national tour, "Tchaba Tcha Tour," on Saturday in Mane, in the Kulse region, with a mega-concert that drew thousands of fans from all the surrounding villages to share in the experience. This large-scale tour, which began in Mane, aims to celebrate the patriotism, social cohesion, and resilience of the Burkinabe people in the face of the security situation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was not just a concert but a message of hope and solidarity. Privat remarked, "We came to bring a message of hope and solidarity to Mane to show the people that Burkina Faso stands with them in their resilience. The feat they accomplished by staying put and participating in the liberation of the town, which had become a haven for terrorists, is commendable."
Mane was severely tested by adversaries, but the community's resistance was unwavering. Privat praised their courage, stating, "They fought, and their struggle paid off. It is this courage and determination that I came to salute and to show that all of Burkina Faso is behind them."
The concert was a resounding success, with fans singing along to the artist's songs, making it challenging for him to complete some. For three hours, they braved the cold to express their admiration for Privat and his band. Privat expressed his joy, saying, "It is truly a great joy for me to perform before this large audience. It's magnificent."
He further expressed his commitment to perform across Burkina Faso to uplift spirits and bring smiles to the people. "We came to galvanize the population, and we could feel that they greatly needed this type of event," commented Warrant Officer Congo, also known as Narel, a member of the artists' collective accompanying the 'Tchaba Tcha Tour.'
The initiative received commendation from authorities like Police Sergeant Innocent B. Ouedraogo, who said, "It is our duty to support Privat's initiative. I am pleased with the warm welcome from the people and their strong turnout during the concert."
Moussa Sawadogo, the first vice-president of the Mane special delegation, expressed joy at seeing the population rejoice after enduring more than 24 attacks. "Mane is an incredibly resilient community," he stated, acknowledging the role of security forces and volunteers in restoring peace.
Aboubacar Sanfo, the concert's co-sponsor, highlighted the concert's role in uniting the population and strengthening social cohesion. The fans, too, hoped for more such events, as noted by gold miner Issa Sana and ninth-grade student Balkissa Ouedraogo, who shared their appreciation for the concert and the opportunity to connect with their favorite artist.
The "Tchaba Tcha Tour" is a nationwide cultural initiative aimed at promoting patriotism, social cohesion, and resilience, particularly in areas recently recaptured from insecurity. It seeks to strengthen the bond between the armed forces and the nation while paying tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).
