Ouagadougou: The Association of Young Volunteers of Fourb (AJVF) provided school supplies to 300 vulnerable students in this village located in the commune of Zabr on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The handover ceremony took place at the Fourb primary school, in the presence of the beneficiaries, their parents, and local authorities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was placed under the theme "One student, one school kit, one smile" and aims to ease the burden on impoverished families at the start of the school year. This effort seeks to promote educational perseverance for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The president of AJVF, Lassana Boussim, stated that the initiative aims to "ease the burden on parents and give students the opportunity to access education," emphasizing that education is a right for every child in the country.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Pastor Martin Yabr praised the gesture and congratulated its organizers for their commitment to children in precarious situations. He urged them to continue this spirit of solidarity and selflessness. Following the handover, AJVF announced its intention to take charge of the schooling of the beneficiary students. The movement clarified that this initiative has not received any external funding and that it relies on the support of the natives of Fourb.

For the members of the collective, this action reflects their desire to contribute, alongside public authorities, to the improvement of education in the village. Founded on August 19, 2013, and based in Fourb, the AJVF brings together the youth of the locality. It works to strengthen social cohesion, community spirit, and solidarity within the community.
