Kongoussi: Mining entrepreneur and restaurateur Pacom Oudraogo, residing in sector 5 of Kongoussi, offered a batch of food on Thursday to the conscripts of the second cohort of the mandatory patriotic immersion in the province of Bam, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation, received by the High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Oudraogo, in the presence of his staff, consists in particular of rice, macaroni, sugar, cooking oil, tea, Nescaf, and various other products intended to support the conscripts. ‘We are in line with the visionary approach of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor, who is making great efforts for the country with his government,’ said the donor, Pacom Oudraogo.
For comrade Oudraogo, the gathering of young people within the framework of patriotic immersion constitutes an initiative that deserves the support of all. “We must, in our own way, support this initiative, especially since the local authorities have invited all those who can contribute to ensuring that the children’s stay goes very well,” he explained.
The High Commissioner of Bam, Karim Oudraogo, commended the entrepreneur’s gesture as well as that of the other donors who have already contributed to supporting this activity. He added that these contributions also demonstrate the public’s interest in this patriotic initiative launched by the highest authorities of Burkina Faso. “The food you have just given us this morning will really help with the food supply for the children. It is true that the State has already guaranteed this support, but the fact that you are also participating contributes to the proper food supply for the conscripts,” he said.
The High Commissioner also invited the people to continue to “get involved” when it comes to the common cause. “It is the province of Bam that wins and we thank you for these gestures,” he concluded.
Let us recall that on the occasion of the second cohort of those called up for compulsory patriotic immersion, the provincial authority had urged the nationals and all the people of Bam to contribute, according to their means, to ensure good care for the conscripts during their one-month stay at the Kongoussi municipal multipurpose high school.
