Bam: The High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Ou©draogo, praised the remarkable work of the prison officers of Kongoussi on Tuesday, during the ceremony for raising the national colors held at the city's detention and correction center.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the province's high commissioner paid a glowing tribute to the members of the Penitentiary Security Guard (GSP) for their daily commitment. "Your mission is noble but demanding: to ensure security, maintain order, and contribute to the social reintegration of the people under your responsibility," he declared, before praising their professionalism and strong sense of duty.
Addressing the residents, Karim Ou©draogo encouraged them to use this time for introspection and personal transformation. "Despite past difficulties and mistakes, every citizen has the potential to rise again. The nation does not reject you; it expects a sincere commitment to change from you," he emphasized.
The director of the Kongoussi detention center and prison, prison security inspector Mad© Yamyaogo, thanked the high commissioner and the vital forces of the province for choosing the detention center for this solemn ceremony.
He reminded his guests that the GSP's mission is to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of prisoners. He also encouraged key stakeholders to view the prison environment as a place of positive transformation and social reintegration.
