Ouagadougou: The Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of Faso, Professor Zakaria Sor, held a public conference on the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) on Saturday in Kongoussi, aimed at engaging the vital forces of the Bam province. This initiative was organized by the Regional Organization for Consultation and Socioeconomic Development of Kouls (ORCDS-K). The event was presided over by the High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Oudraogo, and took place in the packed conference room of the Kongoussi town hall.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Professor Zakaria Sor elaborated on the principles and foundations of the Popular Progressive Revolution, discussing its stakes, challenges, and prospects for Burkina Faso. The audience, which included several customary and traditional leaders from the province, actively participated in the discussions. Professor Sor’s presentation received positive feedback, with participants expressing their appreciation for the actions taken by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor, towards the country’s development.

Datenga Naba Tigr and Naba Kiba, Dima of Rissiam, expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his decision to support the traditional chieftaincy. The conference also addressed various concerns of the province, such as the security situation, the closure of gold mining sites, and the restoration of Lake Bam.

Karim Badini, treasurer of ORCDS-K, representing the president, stated that the organization intends to support the government’s actions. He explained that ORCDS-K is a regional structure with branches at the provincial level, including members like the Ouidi Naaba of Tikar and the Naba Tougri of Pogoro. At the provincial level in Bam, Inoussa Sawadogo, known as Zasco, is the focal point coordinating implementation efforts.

The High Commissioner of Bam commended the leaders of ORCDS-K for their initiative and encouraged the province’s residents to embrace the Popular Progressive Revolution’s foundations as outlined by Professor Sor, to further contribute to the nation’s development.
