Bama Celebrates Academic Excellence with Awards Ceremony

Houet: The municipality of Bama organized a Day of Excellence on Thursday to celebrate the best academic performances and promote a culture of excellence within the two Basic Education Districts (CEB), Bama 1 and Bama 2. The most deserving students, teachers, and supervisors were honored during this ceremony.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Bama, Comrade F©lix Bay©, emphasized that this initiative reflects the municipal authorities' desire to acknowledge the efforts made by education stakeholders throughout the school year. He stated, 'Through this ceremony, we want to celebrate excellence, honor the best teachers, the best students, the support teams, the CCEBs, and the entire educational hierarchy. When work is done well, it deserves to be recognized and encouraged. We invite teachers and students to stay the course, because the most difficult part is yet to come. I congratulate all those involved.'

Presiding over the ceremony, the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Houet, Raoul Tuina, lauded the initiative as "magnificent" and expressed gratitude towards the PDS of the commune for recognizing the educational community's efforts. He expressed pride in the results achieved by the two Basic Education Districts of Bama and encouraged all stakeholders to maintain this momentum for the advancement of the education system at various levels.

The Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education for Guiriko, Soilliou Karantao, also offered congratulations to the education stakeholders in the commune for their excellent results and urged them to continue their efforts. As a reward, the top ten students in the municipality each received a bicycle, a digital tablet containing mathematical formulas, a school bag, and supplies.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the honored students, Shakinatou Korbeogo thanked the authorities, teachers, and parents for their efforts throughout the school year. She shared, 'We are very happy today. We thank the authorities, the teachers, and our parents for all the efforts made on our behalf during the school year.'

Through this Day of Excellence, the municipality of Bama aims to use the recognition of merit as a motivational tool to sustainably improve the performance of the local education system.
