Banfora’s “Sinya Sigui” Troupe Shines at SIAMA 2025

Ouagadougou: The "Sinya sigui" troupe of Banfora, under the direction of Traor Ibrahim, also known as Baba Ngida, made a significant impact at the 5th edition of the International Arts Fair of Mali (SIAMA 2025), as observed by the AIB.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the troupe was selected by the Burkinabe Ministry of Culture to represent Burkina Faso at the event. Their series of performances garnered unanimous praise from the public, authorities, and all participants. Baba Ngida expressed that being chosen for this honor was both a privilege and a new responsibility. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards to represent his country effectively.

The troupe captivated audiences from the opening of SIAMA 2025, particularly at the Burkina Faso country stand. Their performances showcased the rich cultural heritage of Burkina Faso, offering an artistic exploration of the nation's diverse regions.
