Barga Special Delegation Approves 2026 Initial Budget of 40,143,810 FCFA


Barga: The statutory members of the special delegation of the Barga municipality held their fourth ordinary session under the leadership of the prefect and president of the special delegation (PDS), Augustin Ilboudo. Several points were examined, notably the review and adoption of the initial budget for 2026.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the session was conducted with a focus on resilience and hope as the members reviewed and amended ten items on the agenda. The initial budget of 40,143,810 FCFA was unanimously adopted by the delegation members. The PDS commended the members for their commitment to serving the community amidst challenges. The results achieved so far were noted as commendable, with a call for continued efforts to address future challenges.



The PDS mentioned that significant projects have been completed since the year’s beginning, despite challenges faced by the commune. Augustin Ilboudo noted that while several economic activities in Barga are not operating at full capacity, resilience and state support have enabled the special delegation to meet the population’s needs.



Ilboudo also acknowledged the security forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their efforts in liberating the commune, facilitating the return of the villages. He encouraged women and young people who have received training and support from the commune’s partners to contribute to the commune’s development.
