Barsalogho Delegation Seeks Better Organization of Aggregate Collection

Barsalogho:The special delegation of Barsalogho has called for improved organization in the collection of aggregates within the commune to boost communal revenue. This appeal was made during the delegation's third ordinary session of the year, with an aim to eliminate the negative impact of intermediaries.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Sansan Mathias Palé, the president of the special delegation, highlighted that certain brokers act as intermediaries between transporters and landowners, collecting undue sums of money. This practice has led to mistrust among landowners, some of whom now refuse aggregate extraction on their lands.

Palé emphasized that these intermediary practices are detrimental to the municipality's revenue and could obstruct projects that require aggregates. He urged the special delegation members to enhance public awareness and organize the activity better to maintain social cohesion and ensure that the community benefits from aggregate extraction revenues.

During the session, members also reviewed the budgetary guidelines for 2027, focusing on revenue mobilization, support for vulnerable groups, infrastructure development, digitalizing municipal services, social cohesion, community resilience, and strengthening partnerships and decentralized cooperation.
