Bassitenga: Zakin Residents Offer a House to the Chief

Bassitenga: Natives of the village of Zakin, located in the rural commune of Zitenga, Bassitenga province, handed over the keys to a house built for the benefit of the chief on Saturday, during a large reunion ceremony.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation consists of a house with a large hall and a spacious terrace. The infrastructure aims to improve the reception conditions at the chief's court. Upon receiving the keys, the village chief, through the voice of the Bilbalogo Naaba, a notable at the royal court of Zitenga, expressed his gratitude to the sons and daughters of the village. He commended their unity and offered blessings upon them.

The president of the Association of Zakin Natives, Oumarou Andr© Zoungrana, stated that the association has existed for seven years. 'Let's say today is a great day, because it's been almost seven years since we planted a seed, that of the Zakin Residents Association. We have come to receive the blessing of our parents and to offer what we have been able to achieve together,' he said.

Marc Zangr©, a native of the village, explained that this achievement is the result of a long process of solidarity among the members of the association. He recalled that the organization has allowed the villagers to get to know each other, help one another, and contribute to the development of the village.

The ceremony included musical performances and games organized by the women. The villagers announced plans for further initiatives to benefit their village.
