On the afternoon of Saturday, September 14, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred at the exit of the village of Toécé, towards Ouagadougou, on national road n°5 Ouagadougou-Pô, left one person dead and caused a huge traffic jam, noted the AIB.According to the testimonies collected on the scene, the victim, a male, lying near his motorbike, tried to overtake a truck when another truck, driving in the same direction, also tried to overtake him and unfortunately hit the motorcyclist.When we arrived at the scene, the lifeless body of the victim, who was lying below the road, was covered with a loincloth.The accident created a massive traffic jam, blocking lines of vehicles and preventing traffic in both directions.This tragedy is a reminder of the need for users of this national road no. 5, where traffic is very dense, to exercise caution and respect the highway code in order to avoid such accidents.Source: Burkina Information Agency
