Bazèga: “Convoy of Hope” Provides Food Aid to Support 3,260 CEP Candidates

Bazèga: The NGO Convoy of Hope handed over food supplies on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Kombissiri, aimed at ensuring a "healthy and sufficient" diet for 3,260 students during the Primary School Certificate (CEP) exam.According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative marks the fifth consecutive year that Convoy of Hope has distributed food supplies to benefit candidates in the province of Bazèga. The donation includes 105 15-kg boxes of rice, 95 5-litre bottles of vegetable oil, 135 5-kg bags of pasta, 175 1-kg bags of sugar, and 335 cans of sweetened condensed milk. Additionally, packets of tea and Nescafé are provided for the examiners. The total cost of these foodstuffs is 5,113,750 FCFA.The beneficiaries include 3,260 students from the communes of Doulougou, Gaongo, Kombissiri, Saponé, and Toécé, from 95 schools spread across 19 examination centres. Mrs. Dintoumda/Ilboudo Alida, a nutrition officer at Convoy of Hope, stated that this initiative is part of the NGO's efforts to enhance the quality of education and aims to ensure that candidates are in optimal conditions for their exams.Toussaint Lallé, the representative of the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education of Bazèga, expressed gratitude towards Convoy of Hope for their support and acknowledged the positive impact these supplies will have on improving exam performance. Besides Bazèga, students from other regions in Burkina Faso are also receiving similar donations from Convoy of Hope.Convoy of Hope is known for sponsoring numerous schools in the Bazèga province, focusing on student nutrition by supplying food to school canteens.
