Bazèga: The Healthy Entrepreneurs model presented to leaders and influential people in the Center-South

Kombissiri, Leaders and influential people from the South-Central region gathered on Monday October 16, 2023 in Kombissiri, for an information and advocacy meeting on the Healthy Entrepreneurs project.

Providing grassroots communities with access to affordable, quality health care is the vision of Healthy Entrepreneurs, an innovative model based on capacity building for community-based health workers (CBHC).

According to the country representative, Hamed Arthur Yo, the Healthy Entrepreneurs model, which is a social enterprise whose vision is access to basic health for all, relies on community-based health workers to offer products and provide quality and affordable health services to the most remote communities.

In the Center-South region, the Kombissiri health district has been identified for the implementation of the pilot phase of this new approach.

At this meeting in Kombissiri, the Healthy Entrepreneurs strategy was presented to the administrative, religious and community authorities of the region for more information, with a view to facilitating its implementation at the community level.

This meeting was an opportunity for leaders in the region to make suggestions and recommendations to better conduct the pilot phase with the 292 ASBCs in the Kombissiri health district including the communes of Doulougou, Gaongo, Kombissiri and Toécé.

The Governor of the Center-South, Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma/Sanou, who chaired the meeting, welcomed the initiative of this new approach and reassured those responsible for the project of the support of the authorities of the region for the proper conduct of the pilot phase. the final evaluation of which is planned for September 2024.
