Bittou: The PDS delivers the message from the President of Burkina Faso on the occasion of the raising of the national flag. The traditional solemn raising of the national colors on the first Monday of July took place at the Bittou town hall, under the chairmanship of the president of the special delegation of the municipality of Bittou, Mohamed Lamine Diabate, in the presence of the constituted bodies of customary and religious leaders of civil society and the Defense and Security Forces and representatives of the Volunteers for the Defense of the (VDP).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Bittou, Mohamed Lamine Diabate, read the message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, addressed to the Nation on the occasion of the second anniversary of the confederation of Sahel states (AES). In his address, the PDS praised the strong turnout of the population for this republican ceremony. He thanked them for their commitment to the values of patriotism, unity, and social cohesion.
The Secretary General of the Bittou Town Hall, Mathieu Guitanga, on behalf of the staff of the Bittou Town Hall, expressed his gratitude to the people for their massive participation. Mr. Guitanga emphasized that the raising of the colors is a powerful symbol of unity, solidarity, and commitment to the national emblem, while urging everyone to preserve its values.
The ceremony concluded with a gesture of solidarity in support of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). A local man donated 20 waterproof bags to support the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in carrying out their mission. The donation was welcomed by representatives of the beneficiaries and local authorities.
