Bogand©: The Basic Education District (CEB) of Bogand© honored educational stakeholders during the Day of School Excellence, held at the town hall on Saturday, January 17, 2026. This year's theme was "Resilience of educational actors: guarantors of educational continuity in the CEB of Bogand©."
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was held under the high patronage of Jean-Baptiste B©ogo, High Commissioner of Gnagna, represented by Mendien dit Moussa Soma, Secretary General of the province. The event was chaired by Taugolo Par©, prefect and president of the special communal delegation of Bogand©, and patronized by Sylvain Thiombiano, provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education of Gnagna.
The event was sponsored by Dr. Yombo Paul Diabouga, Director General of the National Fund for Literacy and Non-Formal Education, represented by Sandano Diabouga, and co-sponsored by Th©odore T. Bourgou, CEO of BSI, Pierre Zor©, CEO of Rada P©trolier, and Diataga Larba Hanro, an economic operator.
A total of 142 recipients were celebrated, including middle school and final year primary school students, learners from literacy centers and Specialized Support and Assistance Programs (SSAP), wards of the nation, teachers, school principals, administrative staff, and partners. Award-winning students received school kits, bicycles, and cash prizes, while teachers and staff were presented with letters of commendation and various materials. Partners were given certificates of appreciation. Additionally, 39 wards of the nation received school kits and a 25 kg bag of rice each.
At the CEP 2025, notable students included Bourgou Jean-Louis from Bantia school, who achieved 162 points out of 170, and Sawadogo Wendkoini Nelsone from Saint-Pierre school, who scored 160 points. Among teachers, Tindano/Haro Essita from Bantia school had 84 successful candidates out of 88, while Lankoand© Issouba from Bogand© €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬°vang©lique school had 71 successful candidates out of 72.
According to the head of the CEB of Bogand© and president of the organizing committee, Hamadou Bourgou, the success rate in the CEP improved significantly, rising from 69.46% in 2022 to 92.51% in 2025. The authorities praised the results and encouraged continued efforts to uphold academic performance in the district.
