Boulgou: The Bittou Departmental High School recently conducted its inaugural general assembly, resulting in the election of a 13-member School Council and a three-member Control Committee. This newly formed body will replace the former Parents’ Association (APE).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the assembly was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders, including traditional and religious leaders, representatives from technical services, village development committees, teaching staff, and parents and students. The school’s principal, Isidore Sare, outlined the mission of the new School Council, emphasizing the need for community mobilization around school activities, strategies for resource mobilization, and increasing parental involvement in school life.
Mr. Sare expressed his hopes for the new council, highlighting the importance of parental engagement in educational and disciplinary matters and the overall development of students. He commended the strong participation of community leaders and parents during the assembly.
Ibrahim Maiga, elected president of the School Council, expressed his gratitude and urged his fellow council members to work collectively to address challenges. He thanked the school staff and stakeholders for their confidence in his leadership.
The outgoing officials of the former APE welcomed the formation of the new council and encouraged its members to achieve success in their mission.
