Boulgou/niaogho: The Bureau of Major Projects awarded, this Monday, August 17, 2026, in the courtyard of the Niaogho town hall, a batch of 54 bags of fertilizer to the agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the commune, thus giving new impetus to the quest for food sovereignty.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the support comprised 36 bags of NPK and 18 bags of urea, handed over in the presence of local authorities and agents of the Ministry of Agriculture. The emotion was palpable among the beneficiaries, who are engaged in agricultural production. "We are very happy with this donation. It will greatly benefit the agricultural season," rejoiced Adama Kouda, head of the local organization.
Expressing his gratitude to the Major Projects Office and the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor, Comrade Kouda reaffirmed his colleagues' commitment to transforming the sector. "We will work tirelessly to make this vision of food sovereignty a concrete reality," he emphasized, on behalf of all his colleagues.
To ensure optimal use of inputs and maximize yields, technical agents from the Ministry of Agriculture provided practical advice on dosage and spreading techniques. The ceremony ended in a friendly atmosphere, marked by a shared determination to bring prosperity to the heart of Boulgou.
