Boulgou: The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Zonse, Wendmi Frederic Ouedraogo, has initiated weekly aerobics sessions aimed at strengthening social cohesion and administrative unity among local civil servants.
According to Burkina Information Agency, these sessions take place every Wednesday from 4:30 pm and every Saturday morning at the Zonse departmental high school grounds. The initiative brings together municipal administration staff, department heads, and defense and security forces, transforming the high school grounds into a central gathering place for local administration personnel. During these sessions, participants swap their work attire for tracksuits, engaging in rhythmic aerobics that promote relaxation and conviviality.
The municipal authorities highlight that the initiative extends beyond physical well-being. It aims to dismantle hierarchical barriers and strengthen fraternal bonds among the various branches of the administration. 'Sport is a universal language. By coming together here, we strengthen the unity needed to meet the challenges of developing our community,' stated PDS Wendmi Frederic Ouedraogo.
In a context marked by security and social challenges, these collective relaxation moments support civil servants in maintaining good physical and mental health. The twice-weekly sessions underscore the municipality's commitment to prioritizing occupational health and interdepartmental solidarity in Zonse.
The initiative has been well-received by residents and positions the municipality as an example of administrative synergy, where physical activity contributes to social cohesion and unity at the local level.
