Boulsa Municipal Hostel Inaugurated, Aiming to Boost Local Economy

Namentenga: The Boulsa municipal hostel, costing 60 million FCFA, has been inaugurated. The High Commissioner of the province of Namentenga, Adama Conseiga, officially inaugurated the communal hostel of Boulsa, under the patronage of Yacouba Sawadogo, in the presence of the president of the special delegation of the commune of Boulsa, Issaka Sangla.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the infrastructure, valued at 60 million CFA francs, aims to enhance the municipal budget's offerings, including accommodation and catering. Built with financial assistance from Expertise France, the hostel features a building with six rooms, three of which are air-conditioned. Situated within the community center, it also comprises a bar, a grocery store, a restaurant, and a wine cellar, contributing to the town's revenue.

The provincial director of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, Touwendinda Francis Sakand©, stated that additional infrastructure, such as a swimming pool, meeting rooms, a gymnasium, and video facilities, is necessary to elevate the establishment to a complete hostel and attain a one-star classification. The president of the special delegation of the commune of Boulsa, Issaka Sangla, has pledged to develop an autonomous water station and pave the courtyard in the medium term.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the High Commissioner congratulated the municipality on this development, which is expected to enhance tourist services and boost municipal revenue. Mr. Conseiga also highlighted the project's potential to alleviate unemployment in Boulsa and urged the developer, Ms. Fati Kombass©r©, to adhere to the project specifications.

The ceremony, part of Solidarity Month, raised 37,275 FCFA and concluded with a tour of the facilities and a cocktail reception.
