Bourasso: Teachers and students of the Bourasso "A" public primary school harvested produce from their school garden on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, an educational initiative that helps strengthen practical learning, discipline, work ethic, and self-employability of learners.According to Burkina Information Agency, the commitment of teachers, students, and the entire educational community has enabled Bourasso "A" school to transform gardening into an effective teaching tool that combines learning with discipline, hard work, and self-employment skills for students. This initiative has allowed students to enjoy the fruits of their labor by transforming the harvested produce into local dishes.Inspector Maliki Sidibe, Head of the Bourasso Basic Education District (CCEB), acknowledged the efforts of teachers, students, and parents who implemented these reforms, particularly the vocational component involving gardening. He emphasized the importance of local initiatives in enabling children to grow local produce, which enriches their diet despite existing challenges.Boureima Dembele, headmaster of Bourasso 'A' school, highlighted the school's potential despite limited resources. He indicated that the school has already achieved encouraging results and could reach greater heights with adequate material, technical, and financial support.
