Bouss:The President of the Special Delegation of Bouss, Issiaka Ganemtor, has urged education stakeholders to consolidate the achievements of curriculum reform through the decolonization and contextualization of curricula. This initiative aims to enhance the appreciation of Burkina Faso's historical, geographical, and civic heritage.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the annual pedagogical conference commenced on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Bouss under the theme "Development and Exploitation of Integration Situations" and the sub-theme "Endogenization of Curricula Case of History, Geography, and Civic and Political Education." The conference, which spans four days, invites teachers from various educational cycles to reflect on these themes across five sites in the city.
Marcel Oudraogo, the Head of the Basic Education District of Bouss, stated that the conference's primary goal is to enhance teachers' abilities in developing and utilizing integration situations and endogenizing history, geography, and civic education curricula. This effort seeks to equip learners with the skills to apply academic knowledge to real-life situations.
The secondary theme focuses on rooting education in Burkina Faso's socio-cultural and historical context, enabling children to understand their environment, dismantle stereotypes, and foster patriotism. Issiaka Ganemtor emphasized that the conference serves as an opportunity for educators to collaborate and devise strategies for advancing quality education, building on the progress of previous conferences.
Inspector Zozef Sawadogo encouraged participants to make the conference a venue for collective learning and exchange.
