Zondoma: The population of the Boussou commune is plowing a field for the benefit of the FDS and VDP. The population of the commune of Boussou mobilized on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, for field work in order to create food supplies for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) engaged in the theater of operations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the activity was organized by the municipal coordination of citizen watch associations of Boussou and saw the participation of about a hundred farmers from the sixteen villages of the commune. They gathered on the cornfield designated for the FDS and VDP in Boussou.
Wend-zoodo Marcelin Balma, the first vice-president of the Boussou special delegation, visited the site to encourage the farmers. He praised the solidarity shown by the population towards the security forces and volunteers, emphasizing the strong civic engagement in Boussou. He expressed gratitude to the Association of Residents of the Boussou Commune (ARCB) and all those who contributed to the success of the initiative.
Mahamadi Romba, the communal president of the organizing structure, highlighted the purpose of the effort. He stated that the field is a means to support the FDS and VDP, ensuring they have necessary supplies while they work to secure the territory in Boussou. The produce from the more than one hectare cornfield will be entirely allocated to the forces engaged in these efforts.
